As satisfied as we are with 2018’s eclectic range of festivals and events, it looks January 2019 is already on its way to outdo all that we’ve seen. The month is looking amazing with a number of lifestyle events complete with live music by top local musicians and delicious food bazaars!

The Outer Limits
Date: 5 January 2019
Time: 3 – 10 pm
Venue: *SCAPE The Ground Theatre
Hosted by Inch Chua and Tim De Cotta, The Outer Limits is the first fundraiser festival organised by The Music Society Singapore (SGMUSO).
Festival goers can expect three exciting segments – Up and Coming, Comeback Bands and The Light Show. In Up and Coming, emerging musicians YAØ and Houg will showcase their material. Comeback Bands pays homage to the pioneers of the scene and the evolution of local music with West Grand Boulevard and post-hardcore band A Vacant Affair. The final segment, The Light Show is a full-fledged visual and aural experience with headlining artists Linying, Caracal and Sezairi. Their performances will be met with an eclectic range of 3D installation structures, projection mapping and live visuals.

Bacon Beats & Eatbox
Date: 11 – 13, 18 – 19 January 2019

Venue: D’Marquee @ Downtown East
Price: $15 (single 1-day ticket), $48 (group of four 1-day tickets), $50 (5-day pass for one)
Bacon Beats is a live music festival held over two weekends in January. The festival is presented in collaboration with Eatbox, a boutique selection of Artbox, Singapore’s largest pop-up creative market! Eatbox will feature 50 local and regional F&B brands alongside a range of curated live music and urban art.
Catch headlining acts Riot !n Magenta, Subsonic Eye, Joie Tan and Pleasantry, as well as rising artists, Houg and YAØ, who will be bringing fresh sounds to festival goers. On the decks, EATMEPOPTART DJs weelikeme & KiDG along with Sabrina and Hedger, will be involved in the opening and closing sets with a repertoire of Pop, Indie, Disco and Rock selection.

Light to Night Festival 2019
Date: 18 January – 24 February 2019
Venue: Civic District & Marina Bay

Light to Night Festival is an annual urban event that celebrates the Civic District of Singapore, complete with outdoor installations, free art exhibitions, a festival food village, as well as live music performances. This festival aims to make art accessible to the public with its range of free activities suitable for the whole family.
What’s more, Light to Night Festival is one of BeScene’s top 18 events of 2019!
i Light Singapore, the Bicentennial Edition

Be dazzled by the 32 alluring light art installations and a breathtaking multimedia show this January at i Light Singapore! The Bicentennial edition showcases artwork by both local and international artists that reflect 700 years of Singapore’s rich history. This year, i Light Singapore will also expand beyond Marina Bay to include the Civic District, Singapore River and Raffles Terrace at Fort Canning to welcome more than the two million visitors it got in 2018.
As one of Singapore’s must-go annual events, i Light Singapore has never failed to resonate with people of all ages. Expect an awesome line-up of artisanal markets, food bazaars, carnivals and lifestyle activities to complement the event!
