The upcoming long weekend is the longest one we have this year and this means that it is time for all of us to finally get that break that we need from school and work! The main attraction for this lull period is the National Day Parade, but if you didn’t manage to get your hands on tickets, fret not as we have here a list of other things that you can do to max out your long weekend.
1) Book a last-minute staycation
A staycation is always a good idea. Some of our favourites are YOTELAIR Changi Jewel, who are having a National Day Weekend 2D1N package that’s going for $250++ for a Premium Queen Cabin. This includes 2 Canopy Park tickets, continental breakfast for 2 and all-day snack offerings (3 hrs).
If you feel like the airport is giving you serious FOMO, check out Grand Park Hotel Orchard. The gorgeous hotel provides you and your loved ones with an idyllic getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city and it is also home to one of the sexiest bars around — Bar Canary. Vibrantly decked out in yellow and blue furnishings and a lovely outdoor swimming pool, the bar is the perfect place for you to chill over some refreshingly creative cocktails. We recommend getting their Boozy Pops!
For dinner, you can also pop on by to Cantonese restaurant Mitzo, where they serve exquisite Chinese dishes that will tease your tastebuds. In celebration of National Day, they will also be having a five-course National Day Set Menu that will exclusively be available throughout the month of August. Sounds like the perfect long weekend to us!
2) Take yourselves out to HANS IM GLÜCK
If you want to spend your long weekend with your loved ones and some good food, HANS IM GLÜCK is the perfect place to head to. This well-loved German burger bar has an extensive menu filled with Scrumptious eats that will definitely leave your bellies feeling full and happy. In celebration of National Day, they will also be launching a special Singapore inspired menu called Die Die Must Try, which features mouthwatering items such as Beef Rendang Burger, KRABBE Burger and Singapore Rose.
