Meet the crème de la crème of the West End
Bringing to life all these songs and performances for potentially the best night of your life, the ‘’STARS OF THE WEST END SING THE ROCK MUSICALS’’ is headlined by four sterling, world-renowned musical performers who have taken center stage in many crowned theatrical productions:
One of the two leading ladies in this dream team of four is Shona Lindsay, also known as the youngest actress to be casted as Christine by Andrew Lloyd Webber himself in the 1990 The Phantom of the Opera production. Prior to that, Lindsay, who debuted with the title role of Annie at the tender age of twelve, participated in numerous children’s roles in not only theatre productions, but also television.
Lindsay has since gone on to become one of the most highly sought leading ladies of the West End, playing the roles of Sandy in Grease, Milly in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and Gilmer, just to name a few.
Joining Lindsay as the other half of the two leading ladies is Carole Stennett, who hails from Haringey, North London. Stennett has participated in an array of roles such as Nala in The Lion King, Ronette in the Little Shop of Horrors and many more, both nationally, and internationally.
Having recently returned from a tour in China for The Bodyguard as the leading lady Rachel Marron, this stunning powerhouse is definitely ready to wow you with her undeniable passion and talent.
A true veteran of the West End theatre, Mike Sterling has over 30 years of experience in the limelight. He is most well-known for his roles as The Phantom in the Phantom of the Opera, and Jean Valjean in Les Misérables, the two roles that earned him his international acclaim.
Sterling has also worked alongside many prominent names such as Dame Shirley Bassey and Barry Manilow in various television programmes and tours.
Leading the cast of We Will Rock You, a rock musical based on the rock band Queen, Ricardo Afonso was the leading man Galileo in the opening of the handover ceremony for the Olympic Games 2012, which was live on BBC1 and right in front of Buckingham Palace.
You can expect only the most exhilarating performances from Afonso, who was also the lead singer in various productions such as Thriller – Live in the West End and Top Hat: The Musical, and of course, We Will Rock You in which he starred as Galileo for three years, among others.
